One member of staff has been redundant following the closure of Kuoni Events' London office in December.

Kuoni's head of events, Dominik Leonhardt, has re-located to Zurich, where he will now handle all existing clients and new UK business.

Leonhardt told C&IT: "We have bundled our activities within Kuoni Events in Europe. As a consequence, we closed our events office in London at the end of 2013. All clients and projects are handled from our Zurich office as of January 2014. There has been no disruptions in services with our clients.

"One employee has been affected by the shift of location. This job had been made redundant. One other employee had already earlier moved on and taken a new opportunity outside the company. Other employees have not been affected. I will remain the key entry point for our existing UK clients and new business."

Kuoni's London-based DMC will remain in operation.

In November, Kuoni Events' Joanna Lamontagne joined the Royal Bank of Scotland Group's events team.
