MPI has created an educational commercial and a public television interstitial segment as part of its Meetings Move Us Forward campaign, which is designed to help MPI members promote the value of the work they do.
The one-minute commercial debuted nationwide yesterday (23 January) and today on Fox Business Network. It will also run on various major cable networks including CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News until 31 January during prime time viewing hours.
The interstitial program was produced for "In Focus," a short-form documentary series that airs on public television stations across the country, and will also run during the course of 2014.
"At MPI, we believe it is our responsibility to serve as a strong voice for our members and the broader meeting and event industry," said Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO of MPI.
"The economic and business value of our industry is often not recognised, so we created these television spots to show the diversity, breadth and impact of our industry as well as the important role it plays in our economy."
MPI launched its Meetings Move Us Forward effort in December with a number of resources, including articles and studies, a presentation, print and web ads.
