Butlins Events has revealed a 22% increase in business over 2013, with big brands including Waitrose, Hasbro, Activision and MG among those holding events at its three resorts.

The number of corporate meetings and events at Butlins doubled in 2013, with the resorts attracting business from new sectors including pharmaceutical, banking, retail and manufacturing.

Hasbro held a sales conference for 80 delegates at the Bognor Regis resort last summer, while MG held the launch of the MG3 there in September.

Business growth has also been attributed to the £200,000 investment into the Bognor Regis Shoreline Conference Centre in 2013 to improve the resort’s conference and events facilities. It also embarked on a marketing campaign to drive awareness of Butlins Events among corporate event planners.

Butlins is planning to grow its dedicated events team this year and is planning to make new products available including exclusive hire of its three resorts at Bognor, Minehead and Skegness and an array of new team building facilities.
