The event will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the first time it will be held in Scotland.

Supported by Visit Scotland, Marketing Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport, which last year welcomed the launch of Virgin Atlantic’s Little Red service, the conference will give the company’s sales and marketing staff the chance to meet up and reflect on 2013 as well as focus on campaigns for the year ahead.

The event will feature a talk from motivational speaker Jim Lawless as well as an ‘Explore Edinburgh Challenge’ on the city’s Royal Mile.

Neil Brownlee, head of Visit Scotland’s business tourism unit, said: "This conference is further testament to Scotland’s reputation as a world-class destination for conferences and events.

"In terms of business tourism, it is great to kick-start the year that Scotland welcomes the world with such a prestigious conference."
