HBAA, the hotel booking agents association, held its 2014 annual dinner at Novotel London West on Friday (January 10). Chris Parnham, chair of HBAA, hosted the evening with enterainment provided by The Globe Girls.

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) partnered with the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau (Dallas CVB) to host the Big Ideas Initiative at Convening Leaders on 12-15 January at the Boston Hynes Convention Centre. Delegates from all over the world attended the event, which provided a showcase for the ideas and innovations currently transforming the events industry.

On the same night C&IT were also in attendance at the Institute of Directors for an event held by Performing Artistes, the public speak bureau. Guests included news broadcaster John Sergeant and Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson, as well as a host of event organisers.
