ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and the Echo Arena, achieved a turnover of £14.7m – its highest since opening in 2008 – as well as a 23% increase in pre-tax profit.

This is in comparison to the venue’s turnover the previous year, which was reported at just under £13m.

A total of 85,000 delegates attended 98 events at the BT Convention Centre, with a further 523,000 people visiting the Echo Arena.

Bob Prattey, chief executive of ACC Liverpool, said: "These figures relate to our fifth year since opening and reflect another successful period for ACC Liverpool. Both the arena concert and conference markets experienced a significant upturn in the financial year 2012-13."

Overall, it is estimated that ACC Liverpool has generated around £760m in economic benefit to the region with the venue’s corporate and commercial events.
