The aim of the partnership is to modernise the course by helping students understand the benefits of events technology to help their employability in what is seen as a very competitive job market.

George Sirius, CEO of Eventsforce, said: "We want to begin to bridge the increasing gap between academia and industry by helping develop a course built around key learning points that we believe are essential to the events industry."

Senior lecturer at Coventry University Ian Webster added: "Gone are the days that a student at university can secure graduate employment on the back of a good degree qualification alone. A student needs to be 'industry ready' when they graduate from University."

Eventsforce will be involved in the development of both undergraduate and postgraduate event management degree programmes.
