Further expansion set for Hong Kong International airport

Hong Kong International Airport is embarking on an ambitious expansion programme to meet increased capacity demands.

Expansion of Terminal 2 is already well underway, with an expected completion date by the end of this year, while there are plans to adopt a three-runway system in the longer-term.

Other infrastructure projects include developing land to include a new concourse and 20 parking stands by 2015, increasing the airport's handling capacity by a further 10 million a year.
