Live Group dominates inaugural Event Technology Awards

Live Group swept the board at the first ever Event Technology Awards last week, picking up three individual category awards in addition to the coveted Grand Prix.

The London-based integrated event communications specialist was the only entrant to scoop more than one award and ultimately took home four, including the Grand Prix Award for its Healthwatch England launch event.

Its other three awards came in the Best Virtual Event, Best Hybrid Event and Best Use of Technology for Event Sustainability categories (see below for a full list of category winners).

Live Group managing director Toby Lewis said: "Winning three individual category awards in a competition featuring some industry giants - not one of whom won more than a single category - is obviously a huge coup. But then to be overall winner confirms our faith in our people and in a huge amount of research and development.

"It's also testament to the loyalty of wonderful clients who had the courage to try innovative new technology rather than stick with tired old formats. What's even more encouraging is the fact these awards were for projects from 2012 to early-2013, when some of our more recent technologies hadn't even hit the market.

"This kind of recognition gives us massive confidence in our future strategies and development plans."
