Grass Roots rejigs senior management

Grass Roots chief executive Richard Bandell has rejigged the group's senior management team, following Alan Newton's redundancy last week.

Grass Roots says that newly-formed executive leadership team (ELT) promotes some of its "most talented people to the top table".

The changes see the group focus its strategy on four key areas – employee solutions; customer engagement; consumer promotions and incentives; and meetings and events.

Former head of digital marketing and loyalty Adam Goran will head up head up customer engagement; consumer promotions managing director Ian Horsham will take charge of the consumer promotions and incentives team; head of learning Vicky Edwards will become chief people officer; while Des Mclaughlin will continue to head up the meetings and events part of the business.

UK technology lead Paul Brown becomes chief technology officer.

Bandell said: Our four specialist divisions are market leaders in their own right. By bringing the divisional directors together, within the ELT, we are better able to co-ordinate our services to clients and create value for them through integration and consolidation.

"Grass Roots is the only company, worldwide, to be able to offer this diversity of services under one roof."

C&IT reported last Friday that global supply chain director Newton was to leave the group after his role was made redundant.
