A record number of more than 900 participants from 60 countries signed up for the 52nd ICCA Congress in Shanghai, the biggest attendance for an ICCA Congress outside Europe. 

The Congress, which took place at the Shanghai International Convention Centre, included visits to the Shanghai World Expo, to showcase how a major event can transform and re-imagine an entire city district and the research and development facility of global engineering company SKF. This highlighted how mulitnational companies are targeting China as a business market. 

More than 120 members and guest speakers contributed towards the event programme. ICCA celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, and marked the occastion with a gala dinner in Shanghai.
