UKTI reveals its events line-up for Liverpool's International Festival for Business 2014

The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has been announced as an official event partner to The International Festival for Business (IFB) 2014, to boost the festival's focus on overseas trade and export.

The IFB, which is forecast to attract 250,000 visitors to more than 100 events in Liverpool over 50 days in June and July 2014, will now also include a range of cross sector and country-focused UKTI events, which will help develop some of the key themes of the festival, such as creative and digital, green energy and manufacturing.

UKTI has confirmed the details of 15 events, with highlights of the programme including sessions dedicated to key UK industries and events focusing on emerging markets around the world, including China, Latin America and India.

Confirmed events include:

  • UKTI Market Event: Benelux, Europe, 19 June 2014, IFB Hub
  • UKTI Market Event: China/Hong Kong, 26 June 2014, IFB Hub
  • UKTI Sector Event: Education/Professional & Financial Services, 2 July 2014, IFB Hub
  • UKTI Sector Event: Food, 3-4 July, Knowsley
  • UKTI Market Event: USA, 4 July 2014, IFB Hub
  • UKTI Sector Event: Advanced Manufacturing, 7 July 2014, St Helens
  • UKTI Market Event: India, 10 July 2014, IFB Hub
  • UKTI Sector Event: Infrastructure, 10 July 2014, Sefton
  • UKTI Sector Event: Creative & Digital, 15 July 2014, IFB Hub
  • UKTI Sector Event: Green Economics/Renewables, 16 July 2014, Wirral
  • UKTI Market Event: SE Asia, 17 July 2014, IFB Hub

UKTI is also offering IFB delegates an exclusive package of benefits, including free export health checks with trade advisors, free export market selection services and free entry into the IFB export competition, among other opportunities.

The partnership builds on the shared objectives of UKTI and IFB of fostering the growth of UK exports in international markets and encouraging foreign investment in Britain.

UKTI will have a permanent presence at the festival’s hub, which will occupy two floors of Liverpool’s Mann Island and act as the 'nerve centre' for the event.

Sony is among a number of newcomers to Liverpool's International Festival for Business.
