Wimbledon champion Murray shared plans for Cromlix House Hotel after a £1.8m purchase in February, with the Victorian property set to open in on 1 April 2014.

The 15-bedroom, five-star hotel will boast a Chez Roux restaurant – the sixth in Scotland – that will specialise in traditional Scottish cuisine. Private dining and events can be arranged for groups of 10-60, while a marquee can be set up in the garden for parties of up to 300.

Fishing, archery, falconry, tennis and in-room spa treatments are among leisure facilities available on the estate.

The property is located on a 34-acre estate near Murray's home in Dunblane, and is a short drive from Gleneagles, host of the 2014 Ryder Cup next September.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World is a portfolio of some of the world’s most upscale small independent hotels, including over 520 properties in more than 70 countries.
