The Liverpool FC Story is an interactive museum showcasing the world-famous football club's glorious history, which includes 120 years of competition, 18 league titles and five European Cups.
Manager Brendan Rodgers and numerous club legends officially opened the venue at a launch event at the club's Anfield stadium on Wednesday evening.
The museum is available for hire as a private event space, holding 175 guests for a drinks reception or up to 80 for banqueting.
Tom Cassidy, Liverpool FC commercial tourism manager, said: "We’ve worked hard to ensure that the home of the Reds is as much of an attraction on non-match days as it is during home games, so it’s hoped that the Liverpool FC Story will help attract more and more visitors to the area."
Collette Salmon, sales manager conference and events at LFC, added: "The new museum will be an exciting addition to what is already an attractive offer to corporate visitors. And when you add free on-site car parking and wi-fi to the history, international appeal and team element of the club, you can see why Liverpool FC is a great place to hold an event."
Chris Brown, Director of Marketing Liverpool, said: "Liverpool FC as a brand is extremely important to the city. This fantastic new interactive museum will prove very popular with visitors, whether they are part of the Club’s massive global fan base or just want to learn about one of the most famous names in the game. We have many outstanding museums in Liverpool, and we’re delighted to welcome another one."
Already in 2013 the Merseyside club have refurbished the Trophy Room and Legends spaces in the Main Stand as well as the Shanks and Paisley suites in the Centenary Stand, all which cater for more than 200 guests for dinner.
Liverpool FC are also expected to begin the redevelopment of Anfield and the surrounding area in the near future.
