The UFI Global CEO Forum (UCF) and Tfconnect’s Global Event Summit (GES) will have a fully combined programme from 2015, with 2014 acting as a transitional year.
The global exhibition industry association’s UCF is being held in Paris between 10-12 February next year and will feature elements of the GES, which will no longer run in early September.
From 2015, the fully merged CEO event will run in the UCF’s traditional February slot. Further details will be revealed during the UFI’s 80th congress in Seoul, South Korea, between 13 and 16 November.
Paul Woodward, UFI’s managing director, said: "We have listened to the market. Senior players have been telling us that there are too many industry events and that one CEO event would be the way forward – we agree."
Trevor Foley, managing director of Tfconnect, added: "We fully intend that the new event combines the best attributes of the two individual events."
