Created following the acquisition of Hotelscene by the TD Travel Group, Corporate Travel International (CTI) has an annual turnover in excess of £100m and 175 staff based across seven offices in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Hull, London, Bolton and Bristol.
Its CTI Meetings and Events division has 10 staff members. Other brands within the new company include CTI Hotels, CTI Marine and CTI Sport.
Rebecca Mittins, meetings and events development manager for CTI, said that while historically Hotelscene had been looked upon as a venue finder, the new company would look at every aspect of developing an event. It hopes to continue to work with existing clients, which include Network Rail, Mouchel and Screwfix, and build new business.
CTI Meetings and Events is currently working on a two-day annual meeting for 500 Screwfix staff members at Celtic Manor in April next year, which will include a gala dinner. It is repeat business, as Hotelscene has run the event twice before.
Ian White is chief executive of CTI, with chief information officer Chris Needham, chief operating officer Tony Norwood and finance director Andy Haslam completing the board.
White said of CTI’s launch: "Merging Hotelscene with TD Travel to form CTI is the realisation of a vision that both Chris Needham and I have shared for many years in relation to the creation of a single company that truly combines a specialist travel management company and hotel booking agent to provide clients with the most complete service provision in the market."
The company will launch CTI Sherpa, a bespoke online booking solution, in February.
