Set to open on 24 October, the revamped five-storey student union building includes a high-end restaurant, Inox Dine, which seats up to 100.

A further six meetings and events spaces provide total capacity at the new venue for up to 250, with views over Sheffield's cityscape.

The spaces include three suites which can cater for private dining for up to 30 guests, a boardroom for 24 people, or a space which has capacity for 50 seated theatre-style.

University of Sheffield business development manager Sarah-Jane Johnston said: "It's an exciting new addition to the University and a fantastic new destination to the restaurant, meeting and events scene in Sheffield.

"It offers something completely new. A modern, purpose-built environment for doing business with a dedicated team for restaurant service, meetings and events. Our vision is to become established as the number one destination of choice, becoming a resource for the whole city and a hub for commerce."
