Sports business community Leaders held its annual Leaders Sport Summit last week at Chelsea Football Club, attended by 2,500 delegates, a host of global brands and high-profile speakers from football, sport and the wider corporate world.
The two-day invitation-only event was taking place for the sixth year running and brands taking part included the likes of Coca-Cola, BSkyB, Visa, Facebook, Vodafone, Nike, Barclays, Twitter and Carlsberg. New head of the FA Greg Dyke, minister for sport & tourism Hugh Robertson, WPP Group head Sir Martin Sorrell and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti were among the speakers.
All of Chelsea FC’s venue space was used, including the new purpose-built Sky Deck from Delta Airlines, seminar rooms, breakout spaces, workshop suites, pitch-side dining and a 1,400m2 exhibition at its centre.
CEO of Leaders James Worrell said: "It’s great to be back here at Chelsea FC to host our sixth annual conference in central London. [The club] provides us with the versatile, blank-canvas space we need."
Simon Hunter, head of venue and brand at Chelsea FC said: "We are delighted to welcome the Leaders Sport Summit back to Chelsea FC for its sixth year. We have catered for over 2,500 covers over the course of the two days and welcomed some of the most powerful brands and individuals in the world of sport to our venue, showcasing our flexible space at its very best."
