Assured Events celebrates wins including Moneysupermarket and Matthew Clark

The 200-year-old drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark Wholesale has appointed Assured Events to handle an incentive weekend for 20 employees later this month in a 'buoyant year' for the agency.

The two-night ‘high end’ event in London is designed to reward the company’s top performers in obtaining new distribution points.

The win is one of a number for Assured Events this year. The price comparison website Moneysupermarket.com appointed the Cheadle-based event management agency to organise an awards day this summer for 120 staff members at Rowton Hall, near Chester, to mark the end of a training programme.

The event incorporated problem solving, challenging games and activities, including a graffiti wall that provided a visual timeline of the training programme.

The British Universities Finance Directors Group recently appointed Assured Events to handle its three-day conference in Leicester in 2014, while the agency has also won a tender for a similar event for the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges in May next year.

Following the success of the agency’s handling of the Association of University Directors of Estates conference earlier this year, it has been reappointed to work on the group's 2014 conference in London. It also has a three-year contract to deliver the Association of University Engineers conference and exhibition in Bradford.

Karl Perry, managing director of Assured Events, said: "We seem to be attracting interest from a number of higher education associations. It’s quite a niche area and we’ve demonstrated that we have the skills and experience to deliver operationally and commercially, which is why our clients are proactively referring us to colleagues in other organisations."
