C&IT Awards winners: Grand Prix

C&IT's flagship Grand Prix award went to events agency Smyle, who enjoyed a sterling 2012, working with the likes of Citroën, Peugeot and Blackberry.

There is no other way of putting it: Smyle has cleaned up at this year’s C&IT Awards and no other entrant came close to scooping the Grand Prix.

2012 was a sterling year for the agency across the board – from the raft of new clients it won, to the strength of the relationships with those it retained.

Its work spoke volumes too: Citroën and Peugeot’s national dealer conference, which scooped the Automotive and Best UK Conference categories; and Blackberry’s global launch of its 10 smartphone, which came top in Technology & Telecoms, are just two examples of the flair and rigour it puts into event planning and production.

The agency’s financial performance, investment in recruitment and personal development – which contributed to its recognition as Agency of the Year – and its investment into its business and industry-wide initiative the Sustainable Events Summit (Most Sustainable Event winner), were among the many factors that made Smyle the clear Grand Prix-winning entrant.
