The festival, which is forecast to bring 250,000 visitors to host city Liverpool and its locale and £100m in investment to the UK, has announced a further series of events to its programme, which already includes the Global Leaders’ Summit, Accelerate 2014 and Made in the UK.

Newcomers include the Sony World Photographic Exhibition, the International Trade Expo, All Our Futures, Regen Europe, The UK Business Angel Awards, and the TAF British Coatings Federation.

The festival takes place over the course of 50 days between June and July 2014. It has received the backing of business organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses, British Chambers of Commerce and UKTI. Business luminaries including former Tesco chief executive Terry Leahy and Ella’s Kitchen founder Paul Lindley are among ambassadors backing the festival.

Max Steinberg, chair of the IFB, said: "These latest events highlight the breadth of business audiences that the festival will bring together next summer, from large corporates to emerging start-ups, and across all sectors and industries."
