Following UBM's sale of International Confex last month, new owner Mash Media has taken the decision to consolidate the two shows.

International Confex event director Donna Bushell said: "Confex's main strength is the show itself and over the years additional elements have been added, which has diluted it. Live Experience exhibitors are still key to the event, but they will brought into the main body of the show.

"More than 80% of people we surveyed wanted a two-day show, so the decision was made to consolidate the event.

"We are now busy recruiting a new team and setting up a steering committee, which will meet in November to hone the content of the 2014 show.  Our plan is to delver a really great show in five months and then implement bigger plans for 2015."

International Confex takes place at the Grand Hall, Olympia on 12 and 13 March 2014.
