CWT appoints Andersen as Americas president

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has appointed UK and Ireland vice-president Patrick Andersen to Americas president with immediate effect.

Andersen will now be based in CWT’s US headquarters in Minneapolis to oversee North America and Latin America.

Andersen, a US-born Danish citizen, will become a member of the CWT executive team and will report to Douglas Anderson, CWT president and CEO. 

Andersen joined CWT in 2008 as country manager Denmark. In 2009 he became executive vice president for Denmark and Sweden. Responsibilities for Finland and later Eastern Europe were added in 2011. In February 2012, Andersen was appointed to his current role as vice-president of the UK and Ireland, Nordics and Eastern Europe.

Prior to CWT, Andersen worked for Deutsche Post Worldwide Network and DHL holding numerous international positions in sales and marketing, operations and general management.
