Liverpool is gearing up for a £3million-plus boost to the local economy following the official launch of the World Corporate Games 2014 this week.
The city will host the largest annual corporate multi-sports festival between June 26 and 29 next year, welcoming thousands of athletes from businesses across the globe to compete in 24 sports.
The Games, which were launched at St George’s Hall on September 16, will see businesses and institutions across Merseyside take on multinational organisations from the UK and further afield.
The competition will be one of the headline events of the International Festival for Business, which is expected to attract 250,000 visitors to Liverpool in June and July next year and bring £100m of investment into the UK economy.
