The company's ambitious expansion plan is focused on the Middle East and Asia, where it will open 15 new hotels in the next 27 months.

Herve Humler, president and chief operations officer at The Ritz-Carlton Company, said: "Across the globe, and especially in Asia and the Middle East, we will be the undisputed top-tier luxury hospitality brand by 2016."

In the final quarter of 2013, new Ritz-Carlton hotels will open in Chengdu and Tianjin, in China, as well as Almaty (Kazakhstan), Herzliya (Israel), Bangalore (India) and Aruba in the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, 2014 will see new Ritz-Carlton hotels open in Kyoto (Japan), Nanjing (China), Rabat (Morocco), Cairo (Egypt), Manesar (India) and Bali (Indonesia). While the 2015 schedule includes new hotels and resorts in Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), Muscat (Oman), Bali (Indonesia), Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), Tunis (Tunisia) and Haikou (China).

In addition, Ritz-Carlton plans to open managed residential properties in Montreal (Canada), Herzliya (Israel) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) by 2016.

"The growth of Residences by Ritz-Carlton has been impressive," said Humler. "Affluent customers are choosing these lifestyle options because they know that their condominiums and estate homes will be managed in the same exceptional way as our hotels."
