Following a competitive tender and pitch process, Ram Org has secured a two-and-a-half-year contract with Visit Flanders, a government tourist and visitor bureau that is now branching out into the UK MICE market.
Luxury Motor Yacht operator Compagnie du Ponant (Ponant) has also joined Ram Org’s portfolio.
John Kelly, who left CI Events and became a joint owner of Ram Org in July, said: "We recently spent a week in the Flanders region looking at Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp to see what they had to offer for the MICE market. A lot of misconceptions were blown away by what we saw – amazing venues, ease of international access, great transport links, stunning gastronomy and, most importantly, people that are passionate about what they do and their desire to work alongside UK MICE agents to deliver amazing events.
Judy Till, founder of RAM Org, added: "Ponant offers something really amazing to the UK MICE buyer, especially in the incentive sphere, although do not think that these ships are only good for high-end groups. Meetings and conference organisers seeking something a little bit different, or those to whom security or discretion is important, will also appreciate them."
Kelly continued: "We have a series of activities planned for the final quarter of 2013 and into 2014, which will see us arranging educational trips to the region, as well as bringing Flanders to life to the UK market by showcasing this area and what it can offer to buyers that maybe looking for something a little bit different – watch this space."
