The estimated economic impact of the conferences is £2.4m for the City of Brighton and Hove.

Martin Pearce, CIH SE board chair, said: "We’re happy to confirm that we will be holding our 2014, 2015 and 2016 South East Conference & Exhibition at the Brighton Centre. We attended the Centre’s Ultimate Site Visit event last summer and were delighted to see its transformation.

"It was very clear that the refurbishment programme has been a great success and the Ultimate Site Visit showcased the Centre brilliantly, highlighting different ways each room could be used, which enabled us to envisage our own event at the venue."

CIH is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards.

Brighton is currently preparing to host 2013's Labour party conference next month.
