Model Georgia May Jagger and rugby giants Chris Robshaw, Bryan Habana and Jean De Villiers were at Manston Airport in Kent to launch British Airways' largest aircraft yesterday (26 July).

The airline begins flying five times a week to Los Angeles from 24 September 24 2013, which will also increase to start double daily flights to Hollywood from 10 April 2014.

The aircraft is due to begin flying daily to Hong Kong from 22 October 2013.

The airline will initially operate three A380 services a week to Johannesburg from February 2014. This will increase from 10 March 2014 to six flights per week. These flights will be part of the airline’s normal schedule to Johannesburg.

A380 enthusiasts will be eager to be on the very first A380 flight to Johannesburg, the launch date of which will be announced in due course.
