Lacey’s role will be to grow the Wildgoose's market share with incoming groups to the UK, particularly with destination management companies where she has many international contacts. Lacey will take the lead on incoming groups while supporting and growing enquiries from foreign groups.

This follows the news that Wildgoose has experienced a 68% growth in bookings since 2012.

Lacey said: "I am thrilled to be working at Wildgoose. It’s a young, entrepreneurial and ambitious company. The product is fantastic and this new job is perfect for me because I’m not an ‘officey’ kind of person so I’ll be out and about a lot, making new contacts and nurturing those I already have. It’s really varied and exciting."

Prior to working in the DMC sector, Alex worked for the Netherlands Board of Tourism, promoting Holland and previously as a travel tour manager.

Wildgoose has also appointed two event co-ordinators to support the team. Megan Owen has just completed a degree in event management and Emma Swallow is on a placement year from university.
