Internal events have been really important for us as a company over the last year as our new chairman looks to make his presence felt. Events are an important way to educate staff about our brand message and instigate a change in culture as banking gets an increasingly bad reputation.

We have increased the number of internal events we run over the last year as a way to appeal directly to staff and reaffirm our company values in the face of bad press about banking activities. Libor and PPI have been particularly detrimental to the image of banking and the idea behign our events is to let staff know that if they abide by Barclay’s values on a day-to-day basis they can prevent these sorts fo activities from occurring in the first place.
