Ovation Group Ireland was sold to MCI in 2007 and, following the completion of a five-year earn out, Ovation Group Ireland founders Patrick Delaney and Padraic Gilligan are set to leave Ovation Global DMC in Dec 2013, having served as product practice leaders for Destination Services at MCI.

Delaney and Gilligan's intentions are to remain within the meetings and events industry and work with clients globally in the areas of strategy, education and marketing.

As a result, Aoife Delaney has been promoted to global sales director for Ovation Global DMC and Karine Buggy will become global operations director.

MCI CEO Sebastien Tondeur said: "We are grateful to Patrick and Padraic for the energy, vision and values, which they brought to MCI since 2007.

"We look forward to exploring new ways of working together as they evolve into the next phase of their career journey. I am particularly excited to work closer with Karine and Aoife, a modern, powerful and dynamic duo of whom we can only be proud."
