JCB and Sainsbury's help DRP Group exceed last year's turnover

DRP Group has revealed that it has exceeded last year's turnover in the first four months of 2013, thanks to events from companies including JCB and Sainsbury's.

DRP Group’s managing director Dale Parmenter told C&IT that 2013 has been a great success. "By the end of April we'd made a turnover of £9m, which is more than we made in the entire year last year. Budgets are still tight but we are coming back with a vengeance. We've won a host of new clients too."

However, Parmenter added that 2012 was a "weird" year for the company, with the Olympics and the Jubilee disrupting its usual business as events were cancelled or postponed. "It was a year to add new staff and reflect on strategy," added Parmenter.

DRP last week celebrated the launch of its new offices with an event themed in a 1940s style, complete with a spitfire outside replicating the original purpose of the building as a spitfire engine parts and storage production facility.

DRP spent £3.6m on kitting out the new Midlands building and restoring some of its original features.

Meanwhile, DRP recently held a large event with new client JCB.
