The conservatory adds 135m2 to the hotel’s current choice of nine rooms for private events and the new bedrooms increase the riverside property’s capacity to 84 rooms.

The hotel has converted an existing courtyard area adjacent to its River Room Restaurant into a multi-functional Conservatory, which can accommodate up to 90 delegates.

When combined with the Little Barn, River Room Restaurant, Oxford Suite and Eights Bar it can support larger events and occasions of up to 350 people for private events.

Jonathan Oldroyd, General Manager of the hotel says, "The new facilities are part of the group’s continuing focus on offering clients the very best facilities in Oxford – an area of the UK that is seeing increased interest from the meetings sector.

"The conservatory and new bedrooms will enable us to offer even more flexibility to organisers of events of all kinds, from meetings and conferences to weddings and private parties.

"Oxford has so much to offer – a multi-cultural atmosphere, literary connections ranging from Tolkien to Inspector Morse and Harry Potter, nearby Cotswold landscapes and historic houses such as Blenheim Palace.

"Oxford also has the advantage of being easily reachable via the main motorways of M1, M4 and M40, by rail from London, and just over an hour from the airports of Heathrow and Birmingham."

Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel is a four star property housed partly within historic medieval buildings just three miles from the centre of historic Oxford.

Its luxury facilities include The River Room Restaurant, Crusaders Medieval Bar and Lounge, Jerome’s Leisure Club with Roman-style swimming pool, gym, outdoor riverside tennis court, College Barge and nine conference and events rooms with a capacity of 180.
