Wildgoose appoints chairman following 68% rise in bookings

Wildgoose Treasure Hunts has appointed entrepreneur Andy Yates as chairman, following a 68% per cent growth in bookings since 2012.

Yates, a former journalist with the Financial Times Group and The Independent, has also worked for Deloitte and BBC News Online. He co-founded and built Digital Look into financial technology businesses before working for global derivatives group CMC Markets.

Yates said: "Wildgoose is one of the fastest growing urban events and team building companies in the UK with some really innovative products and pioneering technology. I am proud to be involved with such a dynamic and ambitious team and am looking forward to helping expand the business very significantly in the UK and globally." 

Jonny Edser, managing director of Wildgoose Events, said: ‘Wildgoose has enjoyed a fantastic period of really successfully growth and appointing an experienced chairman is the next phase in that continued development.

Wildgoose runs more than 350 GPS treasure hunts a year in the UK and globally for major corporate clients and agencies. It currently has nine licensees around the world, including in New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and Belgium.

Wildgoose has also made C&IT's 2013 State of the Industry's top 50 agencies in the UK for the first time.
