Chester Race Company awarded £7.2m events contract

Chester Race Company has won a £7.2m contract to handle venue and event management at Chester Town Hall.

Chester Race Company has an option to extend for three years. Tasks will involve delivering venue and event management services, with related catering and hospitality at the newly refurbished Grade II-listed Town Hall in the centre of Chester.

The tender notice reads: "The concessionaire will promote the Town Hall for use as a high-quality venue for a wide range of civic, cultural and social events and functions. The concessionaire will manage and promote the facilities including administer bookings, facility preparation, porterage and housekeeping, security and cleaning and all staffing requirements. A key function will also be the provision of a range of high quality catering and hospitality services to events and functions including food and beverage sales."

It is understood that bookings have already been made and the venue is up and running.
