The A List 2013: Emma Blood, Powwow Events

Emma Blood, 30, is event director at Powwow Events

Emma joined Powwow just under nine years ago after graduating from Southampton University.

Boss says: "Emma has been leading the event management for the Joint Investment Forum (JIF) roadshow for the past three years,a financial roadshow for more than 1,500 investment advisers across 10 locations in the UK. Emma is one of our key senior employees and hugely respected by our JIF clients," says Amanda Edgcumbe, director at Powwow Events.

Career high: Leading a team of 70 event staff to deliver a week-long international conference for one of the world's leading global management consultancies.

Worst event moment: At the same event a few years earlier, some delegates and staff contracted H1N1 (swine flu).
I wish I'd run: The Oscars.

Alternative career: I always quite fancied being a barrister.

Next step: I had my first baby last year so am enjoying the challenge of juggling work with a little one.
