The A List 2013: Connie Jones, First Protocol (in partnership with Goldman Sachs)

Connie Jones, 33, is senior project manager at First Protocol (in partnership with Goldman Sachs)

After a round-the-world trip visiting eight countries and 48 destinations in just under four months, Connie started at First Protocol in 2010.

Boss says: "At First Protocol, we seek best-in-class people who deliver excellence every day. In Connie we have the epitome of best in class. In my world of 'good to great', she is totally the latter," says Mark Riches, managing director, First Protocol.

Career high: Arranging a client dinner on the Great Wall of China for a major corporate company and working on the London Olympics.

Worst event moment: An awards dinner in the Dominican Republic, where we had a power cut and were plunged into complete darkness. When the lights came back on, all the venue staff including the DJ had disappeared and we improvised, entertaining the delegates with a conga line.

I wish I'd run: The Queen's Jubilee, especially the concert.

Alternative career: A cowgirl driving cattle across the US.

Next step: Exciting opportunities in the UK or overseas.
