The A List 2013: Lianne Judd, CWT Meetings & Events

Lianne Judd, 31, is operations manager, venue find at CWT Meetings & Events

Lianne got a taste for the event industry working as a ground agent for BMI Airways and at FCM Solutions, before joining CWT in 2007.

Boss says: "In addition to leading her team to handle around 2,000 enquires during 2012, Lianne also managed her own clients to consistently produce savings. She delivers above clients' expectations, directly contributing to the growth of our business," says Ian Cummings, director of CWT Meetings & Events UK.

Career high: I had an event for a pharmaceutical company that started out as a small accommodation-only booking but turned out to be much bigger with full event management required. The client feedback was fantastic.

Worst event moment: An awkward call from a hotel in Belfast to say that a client who had held an event there had gone a bit wild and one of the delegates had flooded their bedroom. Resolving the situation was a memorable experience.

I wish I'd run: The BAFTAs or the Oscars.

Alternative career: Working in forensic science or as a crime scene investigator.

My next step: To develop my venue find team and perhaps work my way up to an operations director role in the future.
