The A List 2013: Vicky Nutt, BSI Meetings & Events, parts of Capita Travel and Events

Vicky Nutt, 32, is event director at BSI Meetings & Events, parts of Capita Travel and Events

After studying and working at Greenwich & Docklands Festivals as a project assistant, Vicky joined BSI Meetings & Events in 2007.

Boss says: "Vicky was recently promoted to event director and is managing some of our largest events such as ITM, GBTA and for clients such as Siemens. More importantly she works really well with everyone in the office," says Amy Crutchett, event director at the agency.

Career high: In my second year at the agency, we won a series of incentives for Sassoon Professionals and I was lucky enough to travel around the world with groups of hairdressers, to locations like Tokyo, Shanghai, Oman, Canada and Hong Kong.

Worse event moment: Whilst in Turkey with a group of 300 we had an off-site dinner on a boat. The water was rougher than expected up the Bosphorus and 50% of the delegates were sea sick. The boat was full to capacity and the experience wasn't a pleasant one.

I wish I'd run: I'd love to manage the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro or one of the large charity events like Live Aid.

Alternative career: To own a small cafe or bar on a beach in Thailand or Brazil and teach yoga.

Next step: To work my way up to another role with a bigger team, gain more experience and eventually run my own charity-led events agency.
