The A List 2013: Jennifer Houlihan, Cascade Productions

Jennifer Houlihan, 31, is director of operations at Cascade Productions

Jennifer joined Cascade Productions six years ago. Previously she worked at BSI as a conference booking agent and in hotel food-and-beverage operations.

Boss says: "Jennifer is the real star of our back office, the go-to person for everyone, meticulous with the detail and relentlessly organised," says Alan Wight, managing director, Cascade Productions. "She took the lead role last year in the organisation of the annual Iceland conference in Dublin, booking and managing the flights, international delegates, 12 hotels, 28 coaches, 1,100 delegates and the budget."

Career high: Taking 1,000 delegates to Disneyland Florida. I headed up the logistics elements, with eight international flights, five venues holding different elements of a conference and ten excursion trips running over two days. Everything went without a single hitch.

Worst event moment: Three days before an event at Excel, it became apparent there was a formula error in the rooming list data received from the client.

I wish I'd run: The Diamond Jubilee tour of Asia for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Alternative career: Running a beach bar somewhere exotic, although I'm sure I'd get bored after a month or so.

My next step: Evolving my role at Cascade.
