Amelia moved to the UK from Australia, joining the agency in 2009, having previously worked at the Australian Sports Commission, organising events and sport training camps for Olympic teams and other sporting organisations.

Boss says: "Amelia led the organisation of a press launch in Iceland for Sony Europe. This was a challenging project with a global attendee profile of the world's press. She worked to tight deadlines in a challenging environment, and created a spectacular event that culminated in a very special experience to mark the launch of Sony's new range of cameras," says Nicky Havelaar, managing director at Crown.

Career high: Organising a press launch for Sony in Reykjavik, Iceland, which finished with a night camping in the middle of the Icelandic wilderness, at the foot of a volcano. We built a bespoke campsite with 150 individual tents and a large catering tent and created a wild party under the Northern Lights.

Worst event moment: Having to plate and serve 150 desserts for an awards dinner after the catering manager walked out.

I wish I'd run: Burning Man in Nevada, USA would be fantastic - amazing landscapes, art and music all rolled into one.

Alternative career: Travel feature writer.

Next step: My long-term goal is to work my way up the ladder to a logistics director role, but in the short term it is to continue to build up my portfolio of events and destinations.
