Michelle had a career in PR, before joining Grass Roots (then Maritz) in 2004 and working her way up into events.
Boss says: "For the Ford B-Max event, Michelle rose to the challenge demonstrating enthusiasm and a proactive approach and bursting with ideas," says Warren Hillier, divisional director at Grass Roots Events. Steve Woolmington, senior manager product communications at Ford of Europe Public Affairs, said that Michelle had done "a really great job, with attention to detail and professionalism".
Career high: Running the multinational Ford B-Max press launch in Munich last year, over three weeks.
Worst event moment: I once managed a meeting in Berlin with a gala dinner on a boat cruise. It transpired that catering had been arranged for about 20 people fewer than the actual number. The executive board were the last to go to the buffet, only to discover there was no food left at all.
I wish I'd run: Working for an F1 team, running its logistics.
Alternative career: I sing in a couple of bands. The main one is a 1940s swing trio called The Polka Dots, so I might have done something professional along those lines.
Next step: Becoming head of events then seeing the world through the eyes of a delegate, not just as a project manager.
