Matt started at W&O in August 2011 and works on the Novo Nordisk account. He was previously part of the Glaxosmithkline events team at Banks Sadler.

Boss says: "Matt stepped into the breach last year and volunteered to relocate to Copenhagen to support one of our clients in their hour of need. He coped impressively with the challenges of being located in a client office and represented W&O superbly within the organisation," says Sallie Coventry, managing director at W&O Events.

Career high: Completing a six-month placement in the head offices of our key client. This gave me the opportunity to develop key relationships and gain a greater understanding of the account.

Worst event moment: At one event, the delegates were so drunk that we couldn't find anyone to take responsibility for one of their colleagues. We had to sit with said person until they were sober enough to go to bed.

I wish I'd run: As a keen Glastonbury festival punter, organising something of that magnitude with such a massive degree of creativity would be amazing.

Alternative career: Playing cricket for England.

My next step: To use my recent experience working in-house at a large pharmaceutical company to become an account director.
