The A List 2013: Sally Yates, DBMT

Sally Yates, 26, is project manager, Travel & Events at DBMT

Sally did a degree in events management at Leeds Met and a placement year at MotivAction, joining DBMT in 2009 as an account executive.

Boss says: "Sally led a major international incentive project with multinational delegate logistics. She has since gone on to run some of our most prestigious incentives since this event in 2012," says David Bottrill, managing director at DBMT.

Career high: Watching fireworks go off over the desert in Dubai as my first major event came to a close, part of a finale dinner under the stars, plus it was my birthday.

Worst event moment: Stepping off a plane in St Petersburg to find one of our guests surrounded by armed police because he had travelled on a different passport to the one his visa was issued in. Asking armed Russian police "what seems to be the matter here?" was very nerve-racking.

I wish I'd run: I would love to take a small group to the Four Seasons Chiang Mai hotel in Thailand for elephant trekking through the National Park.

Alternative career: Physiotherapist to the England rugby team - no explanation needed.

Next step: To progress up to being a senior account manager at DBMT and continue to travel around the world.
