The events contract will be to deliver the fourth entrepreneur festival in September 2014.

The event is the country's biggest festival of entrepreneurship, attracting around 4,000 guests and 50 high-profile speakers in venues across the city of Sheffield. The aim of the event is to provide opportunities for young and growing businesses to be inspired, share insider tips, network, meet investors and mentors.

In 2012, the three-day festival featured a public event for 2,300 people, an exhibition for around 60 exhibitors and sponsors, a series of fringe events, a drinks reception, a dinner for 500 people and a sponsor dinner for 60 people. On day three, a public event for 500 people was held for SMEs.

The cost of the festival is normally met through sponsorship, exhibition and ticket sales.

The deadline for entries is this month, with discussion beginning on proposals at the end of April. The contract will be awarded on 2 September 2013.

Further information can be obtained from Sheffield City Council's website or by emailing nicola.robinson@sheffield.gov.uk
