Some 125 delegates will test out Dunlop and Goodyear's unique brands of tyre against competitor products in a series of driving events, dubbed Driving Premium Events, held separately at each venue on 24-25 April.

These activities will be followed by a celebratory dinner at a nearby Radisson Blu East Midlands Airport property, attended by John Boyd Dunlop, grandson of Dunlop's founder.

Donington Park will be given a 'Dunlop World' theme, with memorobilia and product showcases. Meanwhile, Mira will get a 'Goodyear World' theme.

"We're keeping the Goodyear and Dunlop testing events seperate in order for clients to get a clear product differentiation," said Goodyear Dunlop's customer communications manager Ron Pike. "We're so proud to have John Boyd Dunlop in attendance at the dinner events on both nights. His grandfather invented the first pneumatic tyre."
