Mercedes-Benz and Citroen unveil new products as Commercial Vehicle Show kicks off

Europe's largest road transport exhibition, the Commercial Vehicle Show 2013, opened at the NEC today (9 April) with thousands of visitors expected.

More than 420 exhibitors representing 500 suppliers will showcase their vehicle ranges, products and accessories in three halls at the NEC, plus an outside exhibition area.

A high number of product launches will take place, including unveilings from Mercedes-Benz and Citroen. Product updates are expected from Volvo Trucks, Nissan and DAF Trucks. The Fleet Truck and Van of the Year Awards will take place tomorrow morning at the exhibition.

This year has seen the return of the Cool Pavilion – an area dedicated to chilled and frozen products and services, which is of special interest to temperature-controlled transport and logistics providers.

The Commercial Vehicle Show is owned by the CV Show LLP comprising the Road Haulage Association, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and IRTE Services Ltd, the trading company of the SOE (Society of Operations Engineers).

The three-day exhibition will run until Thursday 11 April.
