The Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau has been set up this month to attract more events to the United Arab Emirate and is behind the initiative, dubbed Advantage Abu Dhabi.
The loyalty scheme has been structured using a sliding scale based on the number of hotel room bookings: 50-500 rooms will qualify organisers for a single incentive, 501-1,000 rooms will earn two, 1,001-1,500 room nights qualify for three incentives and bookings of over 1,501 will earn organisers a tailored group offering.
Among the rewards are paid-for visits to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, VIP tours of the Yas Marina Grand Prix circuit, entrance to Yas Waterworld theme park and cultural education sessions.
Event planners wishing to take advantage of the scheme, which is only eligible for new bookings, need to apply at least 30 days before their event occurs. In addition to qualifying for incentives, planners will also receive an Abu Dhabi Welcome Pack for all delegates, pre-event marketing support and free advice from the bureau.
