The APPG is in the process of drawing up a list of names for the inquiry, with senior staff from organisations including MPI, Excel, Zibrant and the NEC expected to take part.

De Bois will address Black Tier members of the International Confex Loyalty Programme on Tuesday (19 March) as well as international corporate buyers.

He will also encourage organisations within the events industry to submit witness testimonies in order to encourage the government to take action to increase the industry’s international competitiveness.

Some written testimony submissions will also be asked into the House of Commons to give verbal testimony to a group of MPs providing support for the inquiry.

These testimonies will form the basis of a report and a series of recommendations that will be passed onto Ministers throughout government.

The findings and contents of the report will be presented to the industry at a special event in the summer hosted by International Confex and the Britain for Events campaign who are providing secretarial support to assist the inquiry.
