MPI offers medical communications and event logistics to a range of clients in the pharmaceutical sector.

The acquisition enhances Banks Sadler’s focus on specialist industry sectors such as finance, IT, retail and manufacturing and will specifically strengthen its pharmaceutical and healthcare offering across the agency's global network.

Leigh Jagger, CEO of Banks Sadler, said: "MPI is extremely successful in their own right but they recognised that in order to grow their business and to take advantage of EMEA-wide opportunities they need to be part of a larger organisation and have a wider network of offices.

"Banks Sadler, with our expertise and office network, makes a perfect fit to do just that. This is a really exciting point in Banks Sadler’s history and we believe that we will have a very successful future together."

Chris Rawlinson, managing director of MPI, said: "We’ve been investigating opportunities that would enable us to expand our service offering to our existing client base for a while now, and felt that Banks Sadler is the right culture-fit for our business."

MPI and Banks Sadler will continue to trade separately, with previous owners Chris and Devika Rawlinson staying on as managing director and director of communications. They will continue to run the business and will report into Jagger.
